Hello!
I recently got my aunt this car and they are scolding me..! :( Well they had a budget of Rs. 3.50 Lacs. And then we started reviewing. This was their first but they did'nt wanted to purchase 800 they said anything above 800. So in our list was
Alto LXi
Zen LX
Wagon R LX
Xing
My aunt declined Xing as she did not like the tall car. For the same reason they also declined Wagon R. Now only 2 cars stayed in the list as i.e Alto and Zen....after several test drives and manual checks I decided to go for Alto but they decided Zen because they liked the shape. Yet the Zen has a bigger engine and better suspension. But I liked Alto because it has more space and has a great mileage.
Its true aero dynamic design gives true performance and power it requires. I did not liked Zen because it's almost same looking like Maruti 800. Just little differences. A one major thing which bothers me is that the Zen has same type rim which is in 800.
Now I think I can call Zen a Gol Maruti 800 (Round Maruti as it has round corners). Zen just has 1000 cc engine. That is the only speciality. Where as Alto is 800 cc and also is far better than Zen in price, size, performance and mileage.
So I will better suggest you to buy an Alto instead of Zen. Rest is upto you! Though my aunt went for Zen but now they say that they should have gone for Alto or WagonR.
