I have been using at our house Marlex Pressure cookers since the past 30 years. These pressure cookers are designed to give you a life time service. They are very sturdy in construction and can withstand very rough handling. The lid of the pressure cooker is very convenient to close. Unlike some pressure cookers like Hawkins where the lid has to be closed by inserting it inside the cooker , the lid of a Marlex cooker has to be just put on the top and turned about 45 degrees to lock. The gasket is very easily available since they are common for many sizes. The after sales service of Marlex is also very good. All you have to do is just phone the Marlex service centre and they visit your home. The service labour charges are free for the lifetime of the cooker and the charge is only for the spare parts. I would recommend a Marlex cooker to all those who intend to buy one
