Years of cold war is over, the walls that divided east and west Germany are razed to ground, apartheid in South Africa is over, but nothing seems to happen in India as some people say its simply running on gods grace.
Democracies world over run on peoples aspirations, aspirations that make the destinies of the nations. But in a country like ours were literacy levels are so low, people fell easy prey to powerbrokers (politicians) on the name of caste, religion, and region.
What can be more ironic to us is the dilemma whether to celebrate for being one billion or to be ashamed for not being able to provide basic amenities to the poor of this nation.
Education and proper health care can only bring empowerment to our millions of brothers and sisters in despair this requires strong commitment to works which we do daily and strong leadership qualities from the authorities who run the country.
