The app as name would suggest is a small sized version of the facebook app.The facebook app is very large and therefore it consumes a lot of ram.The facebook lite app is the one should go for if the person has a lowend device and the ram is small.That being said I absolutely hated the lite app when I used it.It doesnt have many of the fuctions of the facebook app and lite app is not very eye catching in appearance
