GM diet - It Works

Weight Reduction is one of my ambitions in my life. Every year I take a resolution to reduce weight and try to follow a diet or start exercising, join weight reduction centers etc but finally give up everything and will be back to form. But some 2 months ago I had gained weight very fast and I could feel myself becoming heavy and could not carry on with my day to day life that I decided to do something and reduce that extra pounds I have gained. So I got the GM diet.

This GM diet is called General Motors diet. Though its claimed to be a diet program planned by GM for its employees, there is no evidence for it. Its basically a 7 day diet which claims to be well balanced and well planned and can be followed for instant weight loss. Amazing is in't it:-)

Before I explain the diet program, let me tell you about how it worked for me. I was able to do it only one and was able to loose 4 kgs in a week's time. IT may not be true for everybody. I'd suggested it to one of my colligue and her Boyfriend took it up and said he'd not lost any weight but has lost inches all over the body. So I think it works differently for different people. But onething is for sure. After you do that you will definitely see some changes. At least your body get cleansed. So I would suggest anybody to try it at least. BUT I AM NOT VERY SURE WHETHER ANYBODY WITH SOME HEALTH PROBLEMS CAN TAKE IT. May be its worth checking with a dietcian or doctor if you have specific health problems.

Here's the Diet program:

*During the first seven days you must abstain from all alcohol

You must drink 10 glasses of water each day*

Day One All fruits except bananas. Your first day will consist of all the fruits you want. It is strongly suggested that you consume lots of melons the first day. Especially watermelon and a loupe. If you limit your fruit consumption to melons, your chances of losing three lbs. on first day are very good.

Day Two All vegetables. You are encouraged to eat until you are stuffed with all the raw or cooked vegetables of your choice. There is no limit on the amount or type. For your complex carbohydrate, you will start day two with a large baked potato for breakfast. You may top the potato with one pat of butter.

Day Three A mixture of fruits and vegetables of your choice. Any amount, any quantity. No bananas yet. No potatoes today.

Day Four Bananas and milk. Today you will eat as many as eight bananas and drink three glasses of milk. This will be combined with the special soup which may be eaten in limited quantities.

Day Five Today is feast day. You will eat beef and tomatoes. Eat two 10 oz. portions of lean beef. Hamburger is OK. Combine this with six whole tomatoes. On day five you must increase your water intake by one quart. This is to cleanse your system of the uric acid you will be producing.

Day Six Beef and vegetables. Today you may eat an unlimited amount of beef and vegetables. Eat to your hearts content.

Day Seven Today your food intake will consist of brown rice, fruit juices and all the vegetables you care to consume.

I am editting this post to add few items mentioned on the comments.

People who don't eat beef can replace it with either Chicken or sprouts or eggs. Its basically to gain protein and iron. These items have lots of protein and iron in it.

As mentioned by many people its really difficult to do this for 7 days. But remember onething.  You should never be hungry when you are doing this program which means keep stuffing the day's food every hour or so into your stomach.

When you get tempted to eat anything else, just take a walk for 5 mins  or distract yourself with something else like call your friend on your phone or just do some simple exercise etc, . After that 5 mins your cravings would have gone and you would start thinking 'How can I give up this program at this stage'.
