Well it has been a long time since I have penned down any review, I might be little scratchy so forgive me this time.

Anyways, I saw this movie last week and I could not stop myself to write down a review on it so that more and more people could see this movie because it teaches you a lot, can be an eye opener for some and can be a little Hatke movie for some others.

Director Shoojit Sircar should be lauded in his effort wherein he has handled a sensitive topic like sperm donation which such an ease and apt narration that nowhere you feel you are watching a film which is given a U/A certificate.

Well coming to the film, story is about a fertility doctor Dr. Baldev Chaddha(Annu Kapoor) who runs a clinic in daryaganj but is facing the problem of finding a good sperm donor until he discover Vicky. Vicky(Ayushman) who lives with his mother Dolly(Dolly Ahluwalia) and her grandmother( Kamlesh Gill) is good for nothing youngster who falls for Dr. Chaddha after he convinces him to donate his sperms just in exchange of good money. Vicky makes a bounty out of this donation. In the meanwhile he falls for this girl Ashima Roy(Yami Gautam) who works in a bank and is totally opposite of him. The story is set up in tight streets of daryaganj and lajpat nagar as well as posh colony of CR Park depicting the cross culture diversity of Delhi. Slowly and gradually Vicky realises that he would not be able to make a life out of sperm donation and thus wants to take some serious steps of not doing it anymore and before ashima or his family finds about it. Will he able to do that forms the crux of the story.

Ayushman Khuranna is super confident, never was a moment when he looked a little skeptical about his role, Yami Gautam is refreshing. She is gorgeous and delivers a good performance. Annu Kapoor is a show stealer here. You always wonder why actors of his capabilities are seen only once or twice a year. Dolly Ahluwalia and Kamlesh gill will keep you in splits all the time. You would love them.

Best Scenes of the films: well that would be really difficult but one where Vicky goes to take Ashima from her parent's home and Ashima's father intervene with some raw truth right on their faces is awesome. By this time you realize that every character in this film is of utmost importance. The other scene is the cross culture marriage of a punjabis and bengalis. You will not stop laughing even after the film by just picturing those scenes.

The background music was ok, cinematography was top notch. kamaljeet negi has pictured Delhi beautifully. Dialogue by Juhi Chaturvedi are again awesome, they are simple yet hilarious. The Music score although is average barring two songs which have a repeat value that is pani da rang and rum whiskey .

All in all Vicky Donor is a must watch, beats the stereotypes and gives you a fun filled ride along with some lessons in life.

Happy Moveing!
