Parenting is a topic that's being discussed every now and then and one which turns more confusing and diverse as generations pass by. Irrespective of the generation or circumstances a child is born to, there are certain basics about a child's psychology and the best sort of parenting he or she needs. A baby born today will have the same basic needs as one born a 100 years back. It is the constantly changing influences which can be both bad and good and the surroundings that affect the child as he grows up.But the right parenting can definitely save a child from the wrong influences in life and help him take the right decisions at every point of his life.

)The first and foremost thing a child needs is the expressive love and care of both his parents.Show your child that you love him more than anything else in this world.

)Listen to your child. No matter how busy you are, never ignore what your child has to say. It might seem something so silly with a million other things running in your head, but for a child everything will seem a miracle. Ignoring him can have long lasting effects.

)correct your child. When a child does something wrong, never ignore it. Correct him as soon as you see it in a very gentle manner and make sure the kid realize that it is the bad action that you condemn and not him.If he repeats the wrong act, punish him lightly by skipping his play time or denying him his favourite snack.

)Freedom of communication. Make sure there is freedom of communication in yout family on any matters without hesitation. This is a very important factor and must be developed in your child from the moment he starts talking. The more free he feels to communicate with you, the less chance of him doing wrong.Listen to everything your child has to say patiently, and encourage and appreciate him however possible. When correcting is needed, do not pressurize your opinion on him and be adamant in proving him wrong even if he is. Rather turn it in to a discussion considering his opinion too and let him himself realize its wrong.

)Tell your child he is amazing. Remind your child everytime that he is wonderful and is so gifted. It builds his confidence. Do not kill his confidenc when he does something wrong. Correct him and tell him its ok, u r still the best.

)If you want your child to be of the best moral values and personality, there is no better guide than yourself. Keep in mind that your kid is watching your evry move and will copy whatever you are doing. Show your best character and kindness to everyone and in everything. Sometimes, indulge in good acts deliberately, for your kid to see or while he is with you. Encourage him to do small acts of goodness so that he learns the pleasure of doing good.

)Spend time with your child. Talk to him, go for an outing, have fun with him and win over his heart.Join him in his plays whenevr you can and help him out in his works.

)Have a close relation with every friend of your child. Invite them home at times and make him feel the freedom.

)Make sure your child cannot hide anything from you.Keep a free relation in terms of communication with him or her.

)Do not be too free in getting a child whatever he wishes for. Make him do something to get something. Let him learn the value of earning and that nothing comes so easy.

)Teach your child the act of giving. Even if it is with his toys, teach him how to share and give things and let him learn the happiness in it at a very young age.
