Rnd basically means research and development . As we know that companies like apple , samsung , htc , lg etc have big big research centres and the there invent something new and then they use but companies like mi and karoon., etc just take parts assemble them and manufacture their products but apple spend alot on r n d so the cost of their products are bit high.
