The Lake Village at Chunoti Village in Naukuchiataal is one of the most gorgeous properties you will come across here. Located amidst greenery and quite close to the boat stand, The Lake Village has an enviable aura. However, the services here do not justify its grandeur.
The staff, no doubt, is courteous and quick. The variety of food is limited, however, the chef here altered few dishes to suit my taste buds during my last visit. However, the condition of the rooms cannot be termed as great. My rooms had a few cobwebs here and there. Additionally, there were no bed-side drawers and I could not find any hooks in the bathroom as well.
My room also lacked basic toiletries like toothpaste, body wash, napkins etc. The restaurant did not have enough plates as well. The property does not have Wi-Fi, even at the reception. Power cuts were frequent here during my visit and they have generators quite close to the rooms, so sleeping soundly becomes difficult.
The swimming pool is not well-maintained either. The water does not look fresh and there is a severe shortage of changing rooms here. Whatever changing rooms here are, they do not have a pleasant smell.
Basically, the property is a three-star one not a four-star one as advertised. If you happen to visit this place, make sure you check these facilities before making the booking.
