The showman of Bollywood movies, Subhash Ghai ,experimented with a typical tale of romance where estranged lovers get reunited after facing emotional turmoil in their respective lives. The trio of Anil Kapoor,Akshaye Khanna and Aishwarya Rai put up a brilliant interconnection among their respective characters.

Aish was striking majestically in her natural look sans her cosmetic appearance and affected smile.

Akshaye Khanna arrives from a foreign land to a low profile town of Chamba located in Himachal Pradesh and comes across a lisssome lass dancing to the tune of “Taal Se Taal Mila” amidst a heavy downpour along with her friends.

The lady in white totally oblivious of the presence of a stranger should I say Peeping Tom is swaying her body to the beats of music which instantly catches the eye of Akshaye Khanna who starts taking photographs of the dancing beauty.

Akshaye Khanne’s father ,the role enacted by Amrish Puri and Alok Nath, enacting the role of Aish’s father become good friends inspite of variance in their social stature.Akshaye incidentally accompanies his father to the village where he once again comes across the dancing beauty. He is bewitched by the beauty who seems to be ignorant of his intentions .But later they start doing Yoga together and share a bond of mutual understanding which transforms into love.

Akshaye Khanna announces his love for his beloved and requests her not to conceal her emotions. Both share a strikingly visible chemistry on screen which got reflected in the aesthetically choreographed song on the characteristics of love ,sung in the voice of Sonu Nigam, with lyrics being “Gud Se Meetha Imli Se Khatta”.A particular song featuring Akshaye Khanna sung in the voice of Hari Haran "Nahin Saamne" turned out to be one of the most profoundly mellifluous romantic tracks of the flick, justifying the intensity of emotions suitably.

Now they share a mutual bond of love.Alok Nath gets treated coldly by the entire family of Akshaye Khanna when he goes to meet them at their city mansion along with his daughter.Aish gets terribly hurt and feels the pinch of insult quite severely. She makes considerable effort to seek independence in her life and through the help of her father’s sister manages to come across Anil Kapoor, who heads a dance troop.

Anil Kapoor is portrayed as extremely practical and rational in his attitude towards life having suffered out of harsh realities of life in his initial low phases. He is aware of the conflict between Aish and Akshaye and the pain persisting in Aish’s heart which is manifested in the song “Kahin Aaag Lage” sung in the voice of Asha Bhonsle and choreographed by Shamiak Davar conspicuous by the presence of Shahid Kapoor wrapping a cloth around the body of the dancing beauty.

Akshaye Khanna keeps on coming back to Aish to assure her of his sincerity in love but she is not moved by his appeal of devoted love. When Anil Kapoor decides to marry Aish who is amidst extreme confusion whether to marry the man or not, he ultimately drives her back to her love and convinces her of this act of wisdom.

He is neither baffled nor dismantled at the prospect of losing Aish which renders to his image ,the power of unselfish love, sacrifice and extreme practicality.A hackneyed tale of romance adorned with the creative stylisation of Bollywood masala mix.
