Read all(or as many as you could) Spectra reviews before making any decision. If possible, AVOID Spectra. This is what will happen if you request a new broadband connection.


1.Someone from the Sales team(SHIVANI) will repeatedly call you, insisting that you make payment at the earliest. I got numerous calls as if the new connection would be installed the same day itself, which did NOT happen. NEVER answer calls received from a personal mobile number, you won't be able to send feedback to Spectra later.


2.Someone from the local installation team(PAWAN in Pune) will call you to reassure that if you make a payment, they will install the connection within 5 days. This guy will stop answering your texts and calls once the payment is made. He and his team will install the connection when it pleases them.


3.Now the Spectra Finance team, this team won't contact you directly, but the sales, support and installation team will tell you that the payment was not successful. In my case, both the billing gateway and credit card confirmed that the payment to Spectra was successful, yet when I sent an email to the Spectra support team, they kept telling that we are checking with the Finance team. Not sure what they were trying to accomplish.


4.Let's go over to the Spectra connection tracker. After you submit a request for new broadband connection, an email with URL "Track your order here" will be delivered. When you click on it, you will see the status "CAF submitted". The next step is document verification. Spectra team asks for 2 documents(ID and Address proof) and a photograph. Now, this again doesn't make any sense, but the document verification will take more than a week. When inquired why does it take Spectra a week to verify just 2 documents, again NO ANSWER(by now you will get used to not receiving any response from Spectra). There is a contact number on the tracker page. If you are bored and would like to waste your time, then surely give them a call. On the other end, you will find someone who is completely CLUELESS, any question you ask the same blank response "I DO NOT KNOW". He/She will assure you that they will check just to get you to drop the call. It is in fact in your best interest to do so because by now you've realized the terrible mistake you've made by choosing Spectra.


5.Now that payment is deducted from your card/account and the installation team is nowhere to be found and the Sales team is off to scout for new customers to HOODWINK, you will find yourself kicking and screaming, but all you could do is send email to Spectra which now becomes a fun read for the support staff as they have your money and don't need to respond anymore.


6.This is very IMPORTANT, you will receive intermittent SMS from the Spectra team asking for feedback. NEVER respond right away, wait and take your time. Only submit feedback when you see some real results.


Finally, a word of advice, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON SPECTRA. But if you somehow end up with this incredibly ignorant and NEGLIGENT service provider, do write a review and let others know of your experience.
