Sony Service Center-BLR- Hopeless

Soon after buying the Sony Xperia Tipo Single sim product, I have been facing difficulty with the charger. Hence got it verified at Reliance Digital: who have promptly tested and informed that the charger is indeed faulty and can approach any of the Sony Service Center to have it exchanged as the product is under warranty.


It's about a month since I have been following up with the center: but of no avail: they neither replaces nor informs by when the new set of chargers would come to their store; nor even bother to inform the consumer about the availability.


What's even more annoying is:




  • The process of the having to exchange the faulty charger is not defined or available on their online page




  • Nor is the process of logging in the service request and approaching the center is not defined




  • Worse still service center would not accept any direct walk in to have the faulty charger exchanged: though I have tried in vain.




  • You need to log the issue online or thru the toll free number; get a ticket; provide that number( mind you the call center folks would not inform the service center) to the service center and continue to follow up with them to have the faulty charger exchanged.




  • Just imagine the number of times that you need to follow them up with: if they don't even bother to revert with the exact status of availability of the chargers or provide any priority number or any likely date by when the new set of chargers would be coming to them for the dispatch.






I have never expected such a lousy system of service and attitude of the service center that is on CMH Road, Bangalore.


First of all the product is not all upto the mark: for it needs a patch which surprisingly Sony have never bothered to provide free of cost to the consumer; to top it the service is truly pathetic.
