Originality:

This supernatural flick directed by Anurag Basu and hugely inspired by the hollywood film, 'Dragonfly' can boast of some original and subtle music by Anu Malik with MM Kreem as a guest composer. The catchline of the film is ''Can true love bring back the ''...The feel of the movie is totally embedded in the songs too. Most of the songs are situational and it's one of those movies where you start to like the tracks much better once you have watched the film.

Without going into the details of each and every song, I would like to just mention the ones that are worth a praise. The opening track is '' O Saathiya'' by Udit Narayan and Alka yagnik and composed by MM Kreem (The 'sur' & 'jism' fame). He does a wonderful job and its a beautiful number. The song's a feast to watch too with John, Tara and the magnificent kerala locales.

The rest of the songs were handled by Anu Malik and they are as beautiful as the first one. ''Kabhi Khusboo'' is a song rendered by KK - wonderful modulation of voice to exactly portray the main lead's anguish when he can feel his beloved everywhere, but cannot see her.The sadness of the situation echoes in the song and you don't have to watch the movie to feel it.

Another one I liked was ''Har Taraf Har Jagah''...almost bhajan like and differently composed. The lyrics and Shreya Goswal's voice weave a magical spell on you.

On the whole it's a very classy album and much suitable for people who don't mind repeated versions with different singers and subtle music. But one thing to watch out is, this one's not for those who can't handle slow and sad numbers. This one has gloominess stamped all over it and it's not the kind that you would pick up to lift your spirits.
