This movie has been reviewed and re-reviewed - 16 times at MS. The party is almost over and there is this temptation to consume one last one - one for the road(provided you are not driving).

For those of you, who have not yet seen Road, here are Top 10 reasons why I recommend you to watch it.

10. Screen Play

The screen play is pretty tight and at an even pace - comparable to any ''Made in Hollywood'' thriller.

9. Camera Work

The scenes of the open Rajasthan Desert are superb. Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation should take some of these stills and insert them into their marketing brochures. The vastness and serenity of the desert has been superbly depicted.

8. Story

The story, for the most part, appears to be coherent with all the loose ends being tied neatly.

7. Background Music

The background music of screeching traffic, sounded authentic - watch it on the big screen or with home theatre equipment to enjoy the background music.

6. Songs

There are totally 4 songs. The songs grow on you as you listen and watch them a second-third time.

  • ''Kya yehi pyaar hain'' is loud but the locations are good.

  • ''Makhmali'' - is full of oomph.

  • The third song in the wayside dhabba had good dance movements - I am not sure of who the item girl was and also the fat guy - I was surprised he could dance so nimbly.

  • The fourth song is a dream sequence and was OK.

5. Dialogues

On the whole, the dialogues were crisp and delivered with good timing.

4. The Police

The police work is impressive - unlike making a guest appearance in the last reel, they were involved in the movie right from the beginning and exhibited logical thinking and good analysis skills.

3. The Skull

The bovine skull on the road was made good use of, to bring out the eerieness.

2. The Climax

The climax starts with a motorcycle chase, continues on foot and ends with the hero maiming the villain (not killing him) and riding into the sunset with the heroine. It was nail biting.

and the number one reason......

1. Antara Mali's ''navel ring''

P.S: I know, I have not provided details about the director, star cast, plot etc - but my predecessors have done an excellent job providing those details.
