There was a time when Rishikesh was a holy place actually, where you could find great peace and comfort near the banks of Holy Ganges. But at the name of Commercialization this slow and steady kind of city has lost its real meaning of peace and pilgrimage.

As I belong to Uttrakhand and I have seen what an amazing beauty Haridwar and Rishikesh at a time, I really feel bad about these cities.

Now a days it is very easy to commute there and so many restaurants and hotels are there for traveler's comfort. Many places for sightseeing are developed infact developing rapidly.

Rishikesh has changed a lot and so is Haridwar, people consider these cities as their weekend destination only so they come to enjoy their limited holidays and left so much clutter behind them.

People loves the sanity and grace of river Ganga but No one tries not to spoil it. You can see heaps of garbage and plastic bottles everywhere as well as on the banks of Ganga.

City is in the process of being modern without considering the fact it is losing its charm day by day. RIP Rishikesh:-(
