I have booked and travelled a package tour from Delhi to nainital-almora-ranikhet & jim corbett during 29-4-2012 to 3-5-2012. We have paid a total of 48110 for 4 adults and 2 child. It includes sightseeing, transport and accommodation. The way rao travels treated us is worst and they did not stick to what they promised. Suresh/srinivasa rao didnot give detailed itinerary regarding visiting places that he covers in the above package.
The intention of customer in going for packaged holidays is to relax completely. But it didnot happen to us. The driver only knows how to drive car nicely. He was not knowing the routes/ tourism places anything. We covered some places by asking local people. For that matter if we plan tour by ourselves this trip we would have saved a lot of money (nearly Rs. 16000).
The following are the blunders at their end.
1) Day 1-29/4/2012
Our tour coordinator from the beginning (29-3-12) is mr. Suresh (cell:- 9310075053). But on 29/4/12 we met the same person for settling the balance amount and he is saying mr. Srinivasa rao (cell:- 9310075053). We really got surprised why you are playing with names mr. Suresh/srinivasa rao? Suresh/srinivasa rao has given the room receipts directly to the driver mr. Bittu. He didnot tell him what all the places he has to show us. Our ghat road to nainital was 60 km from foot of hill. Night at 9:30 pm we have almost travelled 40 km to nainital by climbing the hill. Then driver has enquired about the room on phone. We are shocked to know that the hotel is not booked at nainital. It is booked nearly 60 km away from nainital in a place called sathkole . We are calling mr. Suresh/srinivasa rao him that time. He listened our problem and switched it off. Even we called your office boy, they r helpless. Driver took us back after 2 hours of journey time waste and he followed hotel boy instructions and he reached hotel peace resorts at night 1:30 am, which was 60 km.
Just for the sake of low hotel resort at sathole, you have provided accommodation at 45 kms away from nainital.
2) Day 2 - 30/4/2012
There is no hot water facility in the hotel. Hotel boy is bringing half bucket water for bathing from kitchen.
Sight seeing in nainital. We have travelled almost 45 km (2.5 hrs x 2 ways) from sakhet to nainital. We just spent 5 hrs in nainital for sight seeing. Driver does not know what to show. He in turn asking us what Mr. Suresh/srinivasa rao has given in itenerary? We appointed a guide by paying rs 200 to see places in Nainital. For hotel change, myself and my father sri k satyanarayana was repeatedly calling Mr. Suresh/srinivasa rao. He was least bothered and not lifting the phone. Is it the way to behave with customers?
3)Day 3 - 1/5/12 almora-ranikhet visit
As per our itenary we are supposed to cover almora-ranikhet this day and night stay at nainital. Ranikhet was 70 km (4 hrs on ghat road one way) away from our hotel and it is impossible to return hotel.
Morning v called mrs sonia and explained our problem. She shifted our night stay at ranikhet.
4) Day 4 - 2/5/12
Ranikhet to Jim corbett & night halt.
The accommodation is provided in jungle club resort at jim corbett. This hotel is 30 km away from Jim corbett in city outskirts. Please don't compromise on money and allot rooms at remote areas.
5) day 5 -3/5/12 returned to delhi.
On 29-4-12, mr. Suresh/srinivasa rao told he will send 2 ltc receipts by post to our houses. He entered all the details required in his dairy. But he didnot send them by post immediately. We got email after repeated calls on 17-5-12. In the process of getting receipts we spoke to nearly 10 persons viz., suresh, sonia, rao, ganguli, mallikarjun, vasu, chandan kumar. Everybody is escaping to send that simple note.
Finally, i wonder with this sort of your attitude, i am surprised how you people got 2 times best tourist operator award. Dont harass customers with your misery at accommodation and improper planning & guidance. Customers are fully exhausted with your improper planning.
