"Pari - not a fairytale" starts off with a decent story line with Arnab Bagchi(Parambrata Chatterjee) and Piyali(Ritabhari Chakraborty) getting to know each other looking for future arrange marriage. The story continues with an accident where Arnab's car kills an old woman while they are on their way back home. The accident is reported to police which leads to discovery of the old lady's daughter Ruksana(Anushka Sharma). Rukasana is a cursed child(obviously) and thus have never or very less interacted with outside world. She lives with mother far away in jungle where mother chained her up in the backyard. The story starts to take a "spooky" turn when morgue workers find out that old lady had some mark on her hand(obviously some kinda cult) and he immediately calls Qasim Ali(Rajat Kapoor).

FLASHBACK - [Qasim Ali is shown to have his own group of men who has a few preganant women locked up in some place and he does some procedure to abort their child in/out of womb(whatever). One of the preganant girl burns his eye with an incense stick and runs off] - She is the old lady(SPOILER/NOT a SPOILER)

PRESENT - Ruksana is all alone in the jungle and Qasim Ali(Since he found out about her) tracks her down and tries to capture her. Ruksana flees to Arnab's home and reaches by night which is shown quite dramatic blood footprints and open windows(Bollywood! Right!). Arnab's gets a sense of responsibility towards her, and takes her in, comforts her, feed her etc for few days keeping everyone else unaware of her presence. In Arnab's absence she is haunted by someone and looks like a victim for that part of the story. In these events Ruksana starts falling in love with Arnab(surprisingly Arnab too) because of his care and warmth and get intimate with him one day. She starts acting possessive towards him and asks him to call off with Piyali.

Ruksana suffers a severe stomach pain and locks herself in a room. Arnab ignores thinking it as periods cycle of hers which isnot so when Ruksana is shown feeding on a dog just before

Qasim Ali finally finds out that Ruksana is staying at Arnab's and comes to Arnab's office to warn him about her. He tells Arnab that she is trapping him for a child from him which is her life's motive and her child will follow up the chain to grow the presence of devil on earth. It clears that the flashback pregnant girls were all the same bearing some devil child. Arnab ignores this warning and goes back to Ruksana and Piyali finds him out in a compromising position with Ruksana. She breaks her marriage off with Arnab which pisses him off and he tries to kick out Ruksana from his home and finds out Ruksana isn't just a suppressed girl.

He goes to a library and finds out every detail about whatever Qasim Ali's warning. which all makes sense to him now. He informs Qasim about Ruksana and helps him capture Ruksana. But just before Qasim comes to capture her Arnab finds out Ruksana is pregnant with his child. Arnab shows no mercy and leaves her to be dealt with Qasim. Qasim beats her up for almost 3 week which is apparently the pregnancy time for a DEVIL bearer and now its time for her delivery.

For these 3 weeks Arnab is locked inside his parent's house and opens the door only for Piyali when she comes to talk to him. Arnab explains her the situation and somewhere feels guilty for leaving Ruksana there. So he now rushes to rescue Ruksana but she is already gone after killing everyone and she is now after Piyali. Arnab warns Piyali about Ruksana's plans but late. Ruksana beats up Piyali and in the middle of it goes into labor. Piyali, the "Good soul" delivers her child. Arnab comes after all this "should have been" Climax scene.

But there is more. find it out in theatres.| Good Luck Digesting the climax|
