After a gap of movies..

I felt like writing about a movie called PAHELI.

While watching this one particular thought lingers on my mind..

that feeling which I was out of our mechanical life..

you know what ?

It feels you are again enjoying (visually) a Twinkle comics story

getting unfold on that Big screen.. with such beautiful visuals..

cinematography..such superior special effects (on par with any Hollywood

movie although Guys who did this were from Hollywood :-) credit goes to

AMOL PALEKAR and his Producer Shahrukh for making this directors dream

come rocking on the screen (now I can understand why Amol Palekar got

wet eyed while talking to the press).

Some people in Germany said to Shahrukh .. that

''we have forgotten how to cry in Hollywood movies may be we will

need special effects even to make our actors cry or to romance on screen:) ''

and Indian Cinema is the only Cinema who can make us feel so good..

PAHELI proves German people's point once..

If you can believe...

1) A man can comeback from the dead to save his wife - in ''Ghost'' movie

2) Their can be a matrix and people can defy gravity in it..

3) That a 10 year old can fight 3 Villians with his kiddish ideas ''Home Alone''

4) That a mercury man exists in Terminator..

Why can't a BHOOT fall in Love ?? As long as its well Told and its

entertaining ??

Now Back to PAHELI :) this movie I would say ''defies'' any ScreenPlay

written.. by the Chopra's and the Johar's :) which makes this movie

soooo simple experience to watch.

I am happy that

Amol Palekar chose a right girl ''Rani Mukherji''

to play that character of a rural women.

I must say I am fed up of seeing today's Girls trying hopelessly playing

''Behenji'' type characters..

watch Star Plus you will get Lots of such girls who immediately after

Pack-UP throw there sarees and bindis and go straight to Disco's :)

Amol Palekar did not even remotely try to bring ''Matrix style'' special

effects in this asthetically directed venture. He knows that cinema is

to be made from Heart and its not a rocket science :)

Amol Palekar went to a great producer for this movie :) its really very

easy to mess up such a simple story ..

if the producer doesn't have conviction..

Even Rajshri Productions couldnt bring a ''simple Parrot''

on screen through Graphics in ''Main Prem ki Deewani blah blah''..

Just Look at the Romantic seqeunces man .. that Rose Petals scene..

those magics with just a snap of sharukhs fingers..

the ghost and his many avtaars, from a crow to a squirrel to a beautiful

singing bird to a villager just LOVELY

Just look at the details how Rani looks at the bird with just one eye

and her full face is in ''saree pallu'' captured by Amol Palekars and

Ravi Chandran's camera..

I love that song ''Dheere chalna'' by Sonu Nigam ofcourse ..

I loved that scene between Rajpal Yadav and Shahrukh ..

All the scenes between SRK and RANI .. she is in top form..after Black

..

Anupam Kher and Dilip Prabhavalkar .. are great as usual..

And theirs one cameo played by my all time favourite Bachchan..just for

Palekars and SRK's freindship..

I enjoyed this PAHELI experience to the fullest and I am sure you will

too with family..so go .. get up and watch it in theaters..

don't let Amol Palekars dream go in drain ...
