I saw this adorable animated flick a few months ago and after watching it I enjoyed it very much. While Sony pictures is no comparison to Pixar and Disney when it comes to producing the magical wonders of animation, Sony pictures does an excellent job with "Open Season."

I thought the animation was very colorful, and well done. "Open Season" offers its audiences a cute storyline and plot that will make them laugh and think. Like Aardman's animated box office hit "Chicken Run" "Open Season" comes with a story of truimph and sweet touch of revenge for a bunch of forest animals who become a target for the hunting season by hunters. Lead actor Martin Lawerence wonderfully provides vocal talent along with a splendid ensemble of cast members who contribute their vocal talents as well, adding a boost of entertainment to this adorable animated movie.

In this movie Martin Lawerance portrays Boog a 900ib grizzly bear that's been raised by a Park Ranger and in human habitation must return the forrest by order of the Chief Park Ranger. Elliot, a Deer with a broken horn is Boog's friend, and together they go back into the forrest and befriend the other forest animals. Meanwhile the hunting season begins and the animals know their fate of death unless they think of a plan to stop the hunters from killing them. When the hunters arrive to the park Boog and Elliot along with the other forrest animals develop a plan to fight the hunters back and regain control of their homeland the forrest. What happens next? Will these animals survive? Will the hunted become the hunted? You'll find out when you see this animated movie.

Final Thoughts

As I mentiioned earlier "Open Season" is a very enjoyable kids movie. The whole family will also enjoy this heartfelt animated tale of survival. The cast do a splendid job with vocal talent, and the colorful animated ambiance by Sony Picture is well done. "Open Season" gets 3 stars it's a must see children's movie that the entire family will enjoy.
