Do people forget basic courtesy and etiquettes when they do business?? Highly disappointed with one of the worst experiences my dad has recently had with Olacabs! However much people like my dad keep supporting 'make in India' (he rarely books a ride with the closest competitor Uber to promote Indian companies), they keep disgusting it's customers everytime without fail. My dad, who is 63, recently took a ride with Ola and was overcharged by them. Now he's being harassed each day by their call centre in the name of resolving the ticket. Every time he calls, they give him lame excuses such as "we are unable to reach the driver for verification", "we don't have support for refund", "give us another 72 hrs to work on it(these 72hrs seem to be never ending)" etc

#Ola could you kindly take your usual "72 hours" to answer the below queries:

  1. Do you expect a person to lie at this age for 1k when he has taken some approx 200 rides with you?

  2. Do you find him raising refund requests for all the rides he has taken till date? Please check your records, that would verify that this is the first request he has raised for refund of excess charges.

  3. What happened to all the big words we say for making life easier for senior citizens? Is this the way you treat them? Do you find it apt to harass them by trying to prove them liers?

  4. Why is the driver your single source of truth? Why can't you process a refund yourself based on calculating the kilometres between start and end point? If you couldn't contact the driver over the last 1 week then do you really believe you can resolve the issue in any number of "72 hrs" allowed to you? What's the point in having such an employee work for you who can't ever be contacted?

If some mere 1100 bucks from a retired person make you a profitable business then hats off to you, but beware that you have lost a loyal customer forever! My personal experiences of getting issues resolved with Uber have been way better; shame on you for making an Indian write that. Hope you make big profits in the future by cheating on old people and with their hard-earned money, all the very best for your endeavours!!
