Nextel......has the VERY WORST customer service EVER! First of
all you are transferred to 3-4-5 different representatives before
you ever get to talk to anyone who can address your problem.
PROBLEM: Our contract was due to end on 8/16....we called to
cancel contract on the 16th and was told by one of their reps
that we should call back the next day because our contract
expired at 12:01 AM on the 16th. Otherwise, we would be charged
a $200.00 cancellation fee per phone. So, we called back on the 17th
to cancel.....ONLY to be transferred 5 times and told that since we
missed our billing date WE WOULD BE BILLED FOR ANOTHER WHOLE
MONTH or $73.01. They stated that they do not PRORATE billings
and that I should have read my contract before signing.
I have my phone sold and I told them this only to learn that they
can do a FLIP-FLOP on my phone which MEANS....they can bill me
AND the person that I've sold it to since he's a NEXTEL customer
(for the same period). Seems to me that this is just plain crooked!
So.....I guess the answer to my dilemna was I could either pay
$400.00 or I could pay $73.01 whichever was to my liking.
WELL, my conclusion is that this is a company that is to be
watched because they are CROOKED. This is not good business.
