Safety:

I, along with my wife, visited National Zoological Park-Delhi on 21st of May, 2017. I visited there by Motorcycle.

PARKING FACILITY:

Parking charge: Rs.20

Authorized  parking is available inside the premise. Security at parking lot is satisfactory. There are number of security guards at the parking lot, so you don't need to worry about the safety of your vehicle.

ENTRY FEE: Rs.40(Tickets are attached for reference)

There are 4 counters for buying a ticket. At one of the counters, there is a board displaying that Indian Rupees 200, for Tatkal ticket.

During my visit although there ware long cues at other counters, only 6-8 people were there at the counter with Rs.200 Board. People were not going to that counter thinking they might needed to spent Rs.200 per ticket. I told my wife to stand in cue at the counter with Rs 200 ticket board, and I stood in the long cue at other counter. But to my surprise, my wife got tickets at 40 rupees per person, at the counter with Rs.200 Tatkal ticket board.  So whenever you visit this place, don't be confused with that board, and use that counter with the board.

ENTRY RULE:

you can not bring any Eatable item, Alcohol, Cigarettes or any other Tobacco product  inside . At the entry gate, guards check you properly for the same. They also announce on loudspeaker and warn people that if during checking any such item is found, there ticket would be cancelled.

TOILETS, DRINKING WATER AND FOOD FACILITY AT THE PARK:

There is nothing to eat inside. So please eat well before going in, because this park is spread in large area, and to see different types of animals, you need to walk a lot.

One free of cost public toilet is available near the Parking lot.  Inside the park, free of cost Toilets and Drinking water facility are available at a number points, at some intervals. However if you are visiting in summers, please bring as much as possible cold water with you. During our visit yesterday, cold water at most of the water outlets was finished, due to heavy crowd and heat. As I already told that, you need to walk for long to see different animals, so if you are thirsty, you will not be able to enjoy much.

VEHICLE FACILITY INSIDE THE PARK:

No private vehicle is allowed inside the park. However sharing vehicle facility is provided by park management. If you are visiting with small children or elderly people, I will recommend you to opt for this service as you need to walk a lot. As we enter the park after security check, there is a counter to buy Ticket for the sharing vehicle. As you buy the ticket they give you a ribbon to tie on your wrist. There are 11 points inside the park. From the vehicle ticket counter, vehicle will drop you till first visiting point. After visiting the 1st point, you need to again come to the point where vehicle drooped you. Here you can sit on any coming vehicle as you have the ribbon on you wrist, that will drop you to nest point and so on.:

Charges: Indian rupees 67 per Adult(Ticket is attached for reference)
