It is one of the nearby chill place to go for a day trip for a hot Bangalorean. Try to reach Nandi hills by 7am to view the spectacular sunrise. Nandi hills is approximately 33kms from the toll gate near the international airport road. The toll costs Rs.85/- for a single journey and Rs.125/- for a return journey. Take the road going towards Hyderabad. Beware of few unexpected bumpy speed break while driving in the morning to avoid unnecessary accidents. Other than that the road all the way till Nandi Hills is very good. There are necessary direction boards all the way to reach destination. As you make your way to the top there are a lot of hair pin bends. Drive slowly especially if you are going early in the morning. The pleasant climate appeals to the lovers and honey mooners. There are few attractions like Tipu's Residence, Amrita Sarovar, Nadi temple, Tree houses, etc. The walk up could take a minimum of 15-20 min. If you take your vehicle all the way to the top you get to see a lot of view points like Tipus drop, Nehru nilaya, etc. In general, Nandi hills is a quite a good relaxing place to enjoy a bit in a day.
