About The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz:

The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz ( Suzuki Ciaz/Alivio in the international market) is a car that appeals to a wide range of audiences. thanks to it’s wide range of trim levels on sale. Called the Alivio in the international market and the Ciaz in the south asian nations, The Ciaz came in as the successor to the Suzuki SX-4 which made quite some headlines back in its day. But owing to the small car market boon at the time of the SX-4’s release, it couldn’t really do as expected. But the Ciaz, put Maruti Suzuki back in the C segment sedan race. And quite on top of the race.

The Ciaz RS being a sportier varient with a all round body kit and menacing front facia with the fromt underbody spoiler. The rear looks more like a tourer sport, thanks to the long wheel base and the body spoiler. The rear underbody spoiler makes sure the proportions of the car are balanced. Though just an aesthetic upgrade, The Spoiler has proved to be working partially in the real application from personal experiences.

Suzuki Ciaz RS ZDi SHVS Exterior Styling:

The Ciaz gives an impression of a class above. The flowing lines on the exterior and the bold front facia with a 4 slat chrome grill give the vehicle a bold stance. Sitting firmly on 195mm wide tires, it never feels less grippy. In fact, out if the lot, The Ciaz feels more planted than its arch rival, The Honda City. On a whole, the exterior styling, thanks to the RS Kit, makes The Ciaz very appealing and a worthy buy to someone who wants subtle styling cues yet a huge road presence.

Suzuki Ciaz RS ZDi SHVS Interior Styling:

There should be no other word for the Ciaz’s interiors than exquisite. It gives the perfect value for money and an extremely premium feel. the all black interior of the RS variant may seem a bit claustrophobic for the rear seat occupants, but the legroom offered and the interior feel in itself is more premium than the competition. This makes the owner feel special and comfy everytime they get in.

Suzuki Ciaz RS ZDi SHVS Drivetrain and performance:

The 89BHP at crank for the diesel variants, sound the rock bottom when compared to the competiotion but the party piece for the Ciaz SHVS is the SHVS system itself. The SHVS system generates electricity from regenerative braking and uses it as torque assist when you floor the pedal. Yes, you read it right. Torque Assist. The F1 race technology. This makes the ciaz have immense torque output of 250N-m which comes in a burst. It some times gets tough to maneuver it around town because of its long wheel base but the regular usage makes up for it. It may even be hard to handle at times but it never lets you down in a drag between the traffic lights. The torque assist, lights up the road and puts an instant smile on the drivers’ face.

Maruti Suzuki Ciaz ZDi Plus SHVS - Service and Maintenance:

Maruti Suzuki as usual aces this area. It’s been the brand’s key facotr and it still triumphs. The service costs are compartively very low and the parts, maintenance overall are quite easy on one’s pocket. This makes the Ciaz a perfect value for money and a long term friend.

Maruti Suzuki Ciaz ZDi Plus SHVS - The Verdict:

The Ciaz RS ZDi SHVS as a whole is gets an 8.9 thanks to its low maintenance, good performance and superb luxury. If you’re looking for a perfect bang for the buck, The Suzuki Ciaz RS should be on your buy list kf C segment. Though you might want to hang around a bit as the 2018 facelifted Ciaz is on the way.
