What are the schools teaching? Do they want to admit only perfectly ideal and healthy students? Do they mean to say children with health issues or disabilities don't have the right to education?

Imagine your child has a health condition. These days anything can happen to any child. You talked to school in detail about the condition. The school hesitates initially but takes payment, issues books, school dress etc and gives a go ahead sign. Suddenly, when you all are getting ready for the first day and your child is all excited to go to the new school, you receive a message asking you NOT to send your child to school until further discussions. What would you tell your child?

The same happened to this family that I know. They had to tell the child that the vacation got extended when. They went to school for further discussions. The school pushes the blame on class teacher while class teacher blames the management. Aren't they liars? The school neither wants to understand, nor have any consideration for the child. They just don't want a TYPE1 DIABETIC Child to come to school! How ruthless?

The type 1 diabetic kids sure have special concerns which needs care. They are wonderful kids with good health until suddenly when their immune system got confused and destroyed insulin producing cells of their own body and they become forever insulin dependent. Some little kids don't even know what happened to them. The reasons of this autoimmune condition are not yet found, still research is going on. But what mistake has the innocent kid done? Why is he/she not eligible for good education as other kid? Why are they restricted in certain activities in schools? If these'respected' people in the education world really get'educated' that type 1 kids can do everything as a normal kid, with proper care, we parents of type 1 need not go through so much pain! These kids are fighters. They already go through pain of special diets, thousands of sugar checks, thousands of insulin injections, pump and sensor insertions and a lot, which can't be explained so easily in a few words! Understanding is what they ask for. Some shameful schools even throw out the kids diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in the middle of the academic year! Is business, money and fame everything? Have we forgotten being human? Is it not inhumane and unethical?

What if it happens to their child in future? Would they stop their education and other activities?

Coming to the school, we type 1 families want to let the school and other schools know how painful it is to us to reject our children the basic education!

Please do spread the word!
