I always considered Sathyan Anthikad, Siddique-Lal, RafiMeccartin & Shafi's films are the ones I can go without checking any details of the movie and can return fully satisfied. Recent films of Sathyan Anthikad and Shafi disappointed me and when Rafi Meccartin's Mammootty starrer Love in Singapore is arrived, I was all excited to watch the movie, at the same time prayed to get a good movie.

Sadly, the movie disappointed big time to reduce my list of directors who don't err!

Machu (Mammootty) was an orphan and he grown up in the streets. No need to mention that Machu become so rich and have a bungalow by collecting and selling old plastic, tin, paper etc. and an wholesaler who have a lot of cash balance. The new financial bear Pereira (NedumudiVenu) knowing Machu's financial ability and lack of economic knowledge run a scam on him. The one who cheated Machu now fly to Singapore with his beautiful daughter Diana (Navneet Kaur). Machu too land in Singapore to chase Periera and the story ends when….you knows it very well! Watch the movie to see it again on screen.

Loosely based on the financial scams happened in the state recently the director's fault was that to address the serious issue so lightly. The first half of the movie was too slow and I can describe it in one word – bore! Thankfully after the interval the movie made a decent come back, all thanks to Sooraj Venjaramoodu his presence is now a must for all new Malayalam films. The second half was again weak in its content but it worked for its comedy.

Mammootty gave his normal performance, but there had absolutely nothing for the great actor to do in the film. Lately Mammootty is more type caste than Mohanlal and no wonder audience are rejecting films one after another. It is high time Mammootty say 'No' to the light entertainers and stick to the art he very well knows. Good characters and acting if not sure of the script of light entertainers. NavneetKaur didn't show the embarrassment of a newcomer and was ok in her role. Nedumudi Venu is ok in his role but again the make up and the look kept one out of mood. Sooraj Venjaramoodu comes out as the sole winner from the movie leaving all others behind. Salim Kumar is wasted in the film. However I liked Biju Kuttanin the film. Looks like Biju is here to stay with Sooraj. The villain did an ok job.

The foot tapping music however was a relief, but that too didn't grow over the average level.

Cinematography by Sanjeev Shankar was ok.

Overall, the movie disappoints big time. Once again the problem of good 'Script isshown. Hardcore Mammootty fans may giveit a try for the comedy in the second half, otherwise the movie didn't havemuch to offer for entertainment or otherwise.
