Wonerful place to trek.

Those who likes trekking and being with nature will say wow.

I been to this place in every season , of course summer is worst time for trekking. If any one who likes to relax during weekend with minimum expense & comfort [ we say that when you trek you have to forget the comforts ] & maximum joy than do visit this fort.

nearest railway station is Mallavali which comes after lonawala. We can see mumbai - Pune express highway from there. Normally we take pune pessanger train which starts late in night around 11:15 pm [ pls check exact time].

We reach Mallavli station around mid-night 3:30 . Since it is dark so we take nap at railway station. We start our trekking at 5:30 or 6 a.m. There are bhaje caves at bottom of village. After seeing caves we start walking from fields where farmers are working and it is full of fresh air and no vehicle.

trekking is not hard and now a days there is raw road has been made. After walking for more than 1 hrs depend upon size of group and their stemina , we reach one village which is on mountain and from there fort is hardly 25 min far.

Village has school and few small hotel [ their house ] where you can order tea , coffee , veg , non veg food and also they can offer you place for sleeping in night at min cost. Best part of trekking is to interect with villagers and have their hospitality.

Since we stay in Caves in night which on top of mountain, we give order to villages and inform them that we will collect in night at 8 pm.

After reaching top , we take rest in caves and in the evening we see sunset and then few of us again trek down towards village to collect our food. It is thril to get down the fort in night.

we do camp fire near caves and After sleeping in caves in night we start getting down from mountain and we reach mumbai in evening.

I am sure once you do such trek will get real feeling of this review.
