Hi Friends,

Today I got my new Reliance Phone with a RIM Prepaid Connection.

Guess What ??

It costed me just 2500/- bucks with a free LG Moonlight Handset.

Its a cool handset with almost all the features.

Phone Book - you can store 300 names and with each name you can have 4 different numbers like home, cell, office, general, email id and notes too, you can assign different ring tones to unlimited numbers. Saving a number is also very easy, doesn't takes much time. Phone book is easy to find as it opens up with the top right key of the phone.

5 Key Navigation key pad with centre being used for clearing.

SMS - I dont know the capacity yet since I have got 10+ msgs only in my inbox and a couple in outbox. Typing an sms is easy with the T9 auto option - also this new T9 auto option is intelligent, if you type a word which was previously not there, it will come next time you try it.

Call history - 10 missed 10 received 10 dialed, but the only thing which is not good is you can clear the call timers I mean you can reset the same, that ways you will never come to know of the life time usage of the handset if you are buying it second hand.

Profiles : You can make only 4 profiles. that is less, should have more than that.

Display : display is good, its not the usual blue light, its moon light. The best part is reliance clock, you can not adjust it - it comes by default, I dont know how they set it. Display here in this phone is by default battery saving and key pad light turns off automaticaly within 3 seconds if you dont type anything and screen light you can control (Always on, 10 Seconds, 30 Seconds, Always off - Depending on users choice).

Security : all kind of password and key pad settings you can do, it even has a number lock. The normal lock is long press 0 and it is locked.

Organiser : This is good they have finaly upgraded the older versions I think since this can hold 160 Memos, 3 types of different alarms, Calculator (Which is a bit tough to use) World Clock is cool.

R World : The usual R World which comes with all reliance phones, expect some really lowly handsets (like Samsung Slim it is not available).

Battery is also good, it is giving me 60 hrs of standby time, 3 hours of Talktime. Charging takes almost 1 and a half hour.

The worst part is you cannot switch it off while charging, it switches on automatically if you put it on charging in off mode.

Ring tones are pathetic -as they are usual Reliance tones, I bet you can never keep the ring tones on the full volume mode as they are very irritating.

Otherwise its a good phone at that cheap price. Vibrator option is also available.

Short cuts :You can define your own short cut on my menu. which is accessible by simply pressing CLR in the standby mode.

Voice quality is very good.
