Have stayed in Doon for close to 20 years and have never found food better than Kumar elsewhere. Has always been the best dinig joint in Dehradun for over 2 decades.
His north indian food is the best you can get and even his south indian is better than the several popular south indian chains like Sagar ratna. Ideal outing place for veggie. Can recommend the good dishes I have had in last few visits which will be Veg Manchow Soup, Dum Aloo, Shahi Paneer, Paneer Butter Masala, Veg Jalfrezi, Onion Tomato Uttapam, Masala Dosa are few of them.
And if you are going in summer, don't miss out on the Faluda Kulfi he has to offer made out of his sweet shop which is jut 1 km from the restaurant. Just ensure you book it in advance in the evening as there is always a big rush at his joint in the evenings.
