I wasn't exactly excited when I started Krishna Cottage. It had always been my experience that Bollywood horror movies usually land in the realm of comedy but the promos were intriguing. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised.
The director deftly executed the skill of suspense in his favor. The plot had its share of twists and chilling moments, I was even scared during a few scenes.
But that all came to a crashing stop with the ending. The director and writers bent over backwards to the point of being ridiculous in order to achieve the happy ending that Indian audiences crave.
The whole storyline is wrapped around the obsession of a ghost who is able to weave her intentions through and control people's lives in order to get what she wants. And yet at the end when she finally gets what she wants, her lost love from the past, she decides ''Well, never mind''. Apparently, this spirit grew as a human in character and decided to be the bigger person. Hehe
All in all, it was a good effort with a poor end that somehow managed to ruin the whole movie for me.
