My summer getaway with family for 15 days was spent blissfully away from the Hustle and Bustle of Delhi and what a feeling it was, filled with excitement in the air, breadth of freshness and the closeness to nature was unbelievably a quiet understanding!

The rather small and sleepy unknown less explored village is nestled in the district of Allappuza of Kerala . The tiny beach village is simply the place to laze around for laid back people who wish to de-stress from the hectic city lifestyle. The locals are ever so helpful and make you feel at home with their kind and generous hospitality.

Many exquisite inns, hotels and resorts sprout their presence here and there but, it was the feeling of being among the village environment, its people, food and cultural activities that attracted me the most - Simply fantastic was the atmosphere! The fine line of coconut and palm trees that sway to the rhytm of mother nature's winds of change bring sheer joy to the eyes that behold the moment, such is the beauty and naturalness of this wonderful hidden treasure abode the earth. Pretty close to Alleppey and its airport makes it accessible for one and all to experience deeply enriched habitats amidst our world!

One can opt to go boating, fishing, trekking and hiking on the pleasant, calm and empty beaches in and around the village or just lay back in house and enjoy the local culinary dishes that mostly are sea food cooked with tons of passion and flavors that are itched in memory for good! Enough is truly not enough when nature wraps its arms around you - letting go is up to you though - Wonderful place to visit visit with family and friends. Best time of the year is November to January- Go places, enjoy mother nature!
