I bought this book with so much expectations. But to be honest this one didn't deliver. Jonathan Livingston Seagull - a special gull to whom flying was not just a means to find food, it was his life. That made the Flock to outcast him. But he didn't give up; learned the art of flying mostly by himself and with the help of some other'evolved gulls'.
He then comes back to his Flock trying to find an outcast like him who badly wants to learn more about how to fly. He becomes a teacher to many such outcast gulls. He takes his students to the Flock again to make the Flock understand the beauty and value of flying. At last he makes one of his students as the main instructor and leaves them behind in his journey to find other Flocks and other Outcast gulls.
Just 87 pages long of which 15-20 pages contain black and white pictures of seagulls! I found this very crazy!Illusions was the first book of Richard Bach that I read. Certainly, it is far more enjoyable than this one.
