Being a native of Bangalore I thought it odd that I have never written about my beloved city. Since writing about the whole city is not practical I decided to write about the ISKON temple in Bangalore

Visiting ISKON temple is like going for a picnic and having that good feeling about a day well spent. This magnificent temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna and is situated on the top of a small hillock. this temple never fails to impress and there is the feeling of anticipation and ecstasy the  moment you climb up the stairs.  The temple is surrounded by greenery and gardens and the way up is as magnificent as the destination which is the main temple itself .

There is a feeling of awe as soon as you enter the main temple there are beautiful paintings on the domes and the scenery outside  is spectacular. The special aarti is a sight to behold, but wait thats not all.

There are numerous souvenir shops selling all sorts of fascinating  things like incense sticks, perfumes, photos of Gods and Goddesses, A theatre which screens movies for children and numerous snack shops selling delicious eatables

Gods Prasad is served to each and everyone who enters the temple and if you happen to be there during lunch time clean and hygienic food is served free to those who want it

I would like to mention that they have two restaurants and one of the restaurants is rather up scale it is known as  The Higher taste and their vegetarian buffet lunch is simply divine

During the nights the whole temple is lit up and with the lighting and fountains it looks like heaven on earth

By the end of the visit you truly feel you have visited Gods home
