ICICIDirect has gone crazy

Following is a short summary of what I went through recently with ICICIDirect.

For a short background, I have an account with ICICIDirect with last 6 years and was one of the early adopters.

  • ICICIDirect lost my account opening form during the rains in Mumbai in 2006

  • They contacted me through phone and mail for re-submission of the forms

  • Their agency people contacted me and I filled up the form and gave it to them

  • After a few months again, I started receiving similar phonecalls and mails to re-submit my form

  • Again their agency people contacted me and I submitted the form.

  • This happened for a 3rd time last month.

  • And today, ICICIDirect has blocked the Equity section of my trading account

This inspite of the following:

1) It is ICICI Bank who has lost of form - fault of ICICI

2) The agency that collected the form was hired by ICICI - again fault of ICICI

3) ICICI blocked my account during these volatile times - I am made to suffer

Moral of the story - ICICI makes the customer suffer for their(ICICI's) fault and inefficiencies.

Having read through other reviews on Mouthshut, I have decided to try out
