I had surveyed living room furniture and happen to locate one in Home Town at Kothrud Big Bazar. It was fitting in my Budget and they offered a lucrative discounts. I never thought that I am going to repent shortly. 100% payment was compulsory. I booked this unit on 06/04/13 with a commitment for delivery by 20/04/13. Enquiring on 20/04 I was told it will be delivered on 23/04.

During follow up on 22/04 I was told it will be delivered on 30/04 since that was the committed date on the receipt. When I told them that the commitment was 20/04 on receipt and their verbal confirmation was 23/04. With lot of fighting I was told that it will be delivered on 23/04 late in the evening and for fitment Service person will visit within 48 hrs. It got delivered on 23/04 late evening, but service person never turned up within 48 hrs. After follow up one person was allocated after 5 days. He too confirmed that he will be visiting next day afternoon. He never turned up under the pretext that his assignment on hand is still not completed, later on he would require one more assistant and he is not available.

After complaining at Home town Office they deputed another gang of two person who reported late in the evening. During the assembly they could find that few components like leg were supplied in damaged condition. They reported to HO indicating that they will not be able to complete the assembly for want of these legs. After they left we found that few of the planks were damaged also.

We reported all these to Home Town HO. For last 2 weeks we are getting lame answers that they have ordered the legs and will supply the same on 05/05/13, Again today it was shifted by 2 more days. Regarding damaged planks they indicated that their technician will repair it. When we confronted about the quality of repairs, we got the answer that if it is not to our satisfaction they will take a call there after.

Experience to deal with Home Town is horrible. Please do not book any of your funiture by paying 100% payment. I am seriously thinking of going to Grahak Greivance Court and lodge the complaint. I am really serious about it.
