I have  very bad experience recently with their Opp Mumbai University branch, I am senior citizen and when approached for placing some fixed deposits which I wanted to shift from PS banks due to their poor performance and I was asked to open saving account and I did open two saving account one for my wife and other for myself since we two are separate IT payee.


The staff is very poorly trained about the products of the banks and not able to give full details to the new customers who visit a branch, they slowly come out with different hidden requirements and do not acquaint customers with necessary details at a time.


There is branch head but he is too busy and most of the time not available during working hours and in his absence, there is no one to look after administration grievances of the customers who visit from distant places.


There is absolutely no control, supervision, and monitoring of staff and officers.


Then lower staff are named as "personal banker", who are just doing peon or postman job, the customers interact with this staff and trust them but they have no role in reality to provide the customer services needed.


For help when you call manager he does not lift cell phone or send a message that he is busy and call back but never does it and hence there is no second route for customers to get help.


After depositing cheque for FD through saving the account, the FD receipt is prepared next day also when cheque after clearing credited to the account someone phone you at late evening and wants information about the source of fund or transaction details(that how that amount the customer got).


While opening the saving accounts all the details such as pan, aadhar, election card, photos, signed photos and the very exhaustive forms is filled also the FD form one has to give beside customer id, account no, pan no etc  so there is no need when payment is deposited through cheque of another bank to ask for TAXN and transaction details.


Even if such details are required then concern person should approach the executive who handles the client, some stranger calls from the bank without identifying him to whom customer has not interacted  and wants to know the details of a customer transaction, he has no business to do so.


when this matter was brought to the notice of the branch head, he just waived it and said it is part of their policy and in fact as I mentioned earlier the branch executive is just doing peon job, the saving account and FD account are handled by some other people to whom even they do not know In brief, during the short period of some 30 days, I had placed FD worth Rs more than 30 lacs that I decided to withdraw prematurely and it cost interest in a penalty to the tune of Rs 4765.00.


One more observation is that there is over staff, the girls and boys just pass time and have nothing to do, either chit chasing or moving around without any contribution, half the people do not know what other half is doing and other half do not know what is exactly their role.


Either those personal bankers are on their mobile or simply looking at the computer and may be engaged in their personal work  because there is no supervision, control or monitoring and no accounting the work they have to do toward contribution bank.


Even they do not know how to print FD receipt for the customer, the customer has to give them a copy of FD form, account number etc and then only they can get it.


In my 45 years of banking experience with many public and private bank, this was the worst experience and blunder that I committed and making the loss of interest toward penalty by withdrawing premature FD of Rs 30 Lacs.


My observation is that branch and branch head is given a target to mobile deposits and canvas business, now in my case I went forward and placed deposits and there was no roll of Branch head of so-called personal banker-officer in spite of that they did not took care and look after customer


After interacting with the staff I find that Bank's HR personnel are in poor shape and not able to provide qualitative and devoted, committed personnel and there should have some check from their side which is not there?


In the end, I just wish to write this detailed review and explain another customer not to trust and rush to this bank since it has a big name
