My issue started on 23rd July 2020. I specifically called customer care and asked why I have been charged with Rs 11800 card renewal charges, when I never authorized or permitted as I am out of the Country and my card has expired in July 2020. They gave me an excuse that sir it is auto-renewed( I don't know why) and we will make a request for reversal and you just pay the statement amount minus 11800, which I did. the ticket number raised was 20207782453.

I got shocked on 15th Aug when the statement was generated with finance charges+ GST+ 11800+ late fee+ GST. they said sir reversal has been not done yet and as you didn't make the full payment, all these charges have been levied. A customer executive named Pooja again raised ticket 20230266525 for membership charges reversal.

Again I called as my late free charges/finance charges were not reversed and Guy named Gautam took my request 20248418530 for the same and asked me to pay 1845 as GST charges can't be reversed which I did in hope that this time it will be closed. I requested him, I don't want any further issues. He promised the same.

Again on the 15th Sep, I got a statement of 1135 Rs for late fee+ GST+ finance charges+ GST. Again on the 16th Sep I called and the most inefficient customer executive named Aakash picked up the phone whose manager name is Ashish( I am not sure how true are these names), he said sir he will take the request for all reversal and gave me ticket no 20260634605 and gave me ETA of 22nd Sep,

Again today on 26th Sep when I called, the customer executive named Aditya picked up the phone and explained, sir there is no request for late fee reversal, we just have a finance charge reversal request. I am literally pissed off as I feel they are just playing with me. I asked Aditya to transfer the call to someone sensible, he transferred the call to a lady name Cinderella, who again explained to me that the sir request never been taken for late fee reversal and latest finance charges+ GST and again raised the request for the same with ticket no 20270517362 with the SLA of 3rd Oct and asked me to pay all the statement amount as they won't adjust these for the current statement cycle. If I won't pay the cycle of this late fee+ GST+ Finance charges+ GST will continue.

If you see I am harassed mentally by them from July 23rd Jul 2020, I have called them at least 13 times, and still, an issue is not closed and I must have been on phone for 4-5 hours(international calls). They are saying the next statement cycle again I need to pay GST of Rs 37 and if the reversal happens this time, I need to again call them for the transfer of the amount to my account.

This is full mental harassments by HDFC Bank and I am a premium cardholder, I am sure they must be literally killing normal cardholders.

I am in the US and using COVID as a tool they are operating from 10:00 AM. I literally need to be awake till 12:30 AM to catch hold of them as they never call back me on US number but they always promise. While writing this message its 1:30 AM here. I feel someone needs to get hold of them otherwise they will continuously harass consumers like this only.
