Great Learning Cloud computing PGPCC course.
I dropped myself out from this course, after comparing in the market with the cost and quality of course which they are delivering
Experience felt after attending this course for 2 months.
People want to get into the cloud computing, that is nice and good thought. But at cost of 1.5 lakhs(INR) or US$2000. NOT WORTH .
• Mentor session:-
Nirmalaya Mukherjee, he is a really good instructor . But he conducted only 3 mentor session, rest was handled by other instructors . Now what happen in Mentor session( 3 hour session with plenty of students in it, so forget you get another chance for another query, all should be asked in one chance), they only discuss the doubts from the video package release from the start of week. No question is answered in respect to upcoming project, how you will do it and what is required in it.
• Course Content:- It consist of weekly release of Video package( Self pace learning), similar to this is which you can get in ACLOUD GURU, Linux Academy and other cloud learning sites . Considering this type of content it is totally based on self paced learning . On paying this much of price for self paced learning, doesn’t count favorable. Assessments have some of the question which doesn’t make sense and you loose the points, anyways they give the questions from any of the practice exam easily available online.
• Capstone Projects:- I only get chance to know the gist of the project. Before doing any project, I feel better not to waste money and drop myself out from this course. If anyone interested in
• Course Delivery:- Self paced learning, rest in case of doubt you have to raise the ticket with support, in that you will get answer which is from google search, which anyone can get it .For stuck students, they keep on asking with other batchmates for answers. This totally sounds throwing off your money.
• Course and group handling: - People say it is hectic to finish it off. Yes it will become hectic if the course directions and deliverable is like this .
• Labs:- They market themselves on providing the AWS educate account, which is not monitored and useless account . Why I am saying this, they give only US$ 100 credit( INR 7200) of it, ( keep it in mind no more credit will be given to you after that) In one or 2 lab the credit get exhausted .
So not WORTH, our batchmate used their own personal account to build the lab after they exhaust credit and no more credit is provided in this hefty cost course.
Conclusion:-
Don’t waste your money on this course, you can do separate courses of each module which are there in market with good industrial exposures and affordable .
Rest your call, if you still think you get good out of it on getting influenced by Great Learning marketing strategies.
