The reason for me highlighting this issue is, because of these consultants people make grave career mistakes and job hop only to get a better package and not because it would help them build a career. The same has happened to me a couple of times and because of which I am currently unemployed.


Mentioned below are a list of false/fraud promises made by Gratitude India only to get candidates apply for different positions:


1.    Better Package: Most of the times people have been quoted a package which is higher than what the company actually offers and then they tell you not to quote a package they will give you the mentioned package once we have cleared all the rounds. This is never the case because you always land up getting much less than what was promised.


2.    No Co-ordination: It is noticed that there is no co-ordination between the consultant and the company recruitment team. This results in the candidate coming to their office and spending hours just trying to crack the interview.


3.    Hiding Facts: I have noticed that most of the people I know who have gone to Gratitude, have been asked to not mention certain work experience as they would be rejected and thus make some excuse for gaps in the experience. This is not fair for the candidate as they have worked for that company but have to hide that experience only to secure the job applied for.


4.    Numerous Interviews: Candidates are asked to apply for multiple companies at the same time so that the consultant makes the big buck. Here the candidate is left confused and ultimately doesn’t get any job or gets something they don’t want to work for thus resulting in them leaving the job after a few months.


5.    Leave after 3 months: At times, candidates are even told that they should try out the job for 3 months and if they do not like it, they can leave after 3 months. Here the consultant gets their payout from the company, but the candidate lands up making a disastrous decision. The company is at loss as well leading to high attrition and the candidate is at loss as well.


6.    Bad name for company: There are times that candidates are being told that the company recruitment is horrible, if the candidate doesn’t get through or if the offer given is different.


7.    Inappropriate job profile: The candidate is asked or has requested a specific job profile however, is pushed into something totally different from what they have previously done. I have experienced the same. They ask you to visit the company for a certain profile and you are interviewed for something different.


These are just some of the issues highlighted however; I assure you that there are many other issues that candidates have to go through. Just to state again that sheds poor light on the company coordinating with Gratitude India.
