New film GAYAB is something which Verma still has to master. The state- of- the- art technology(read special effects) aren't just that perfect. GAYAB is not that bad and as a follow up of BHOOT, I would categorize it in B Minus. May be what it needs is both more in content along with more polished technology. There are so many things which go into the making of a good film but script and content always come first.

GAYAB definitely lacks in this discipline and one merely wishes that Verma should have given more time and energy to screenplay. This has not been done. Without rubbing more on this discipline, probbably the script is the weakest part of GAYAB. Won't it would be cool if Verma would make budgetary provision in the to spend some more on script and come up with a real tightly-knit stuff with no loose ends, more twists and turns, more convincing shocks and stuff for suspension to disbelief. After all, many of us do go to the movie house with our brains intact. GAYAB may be the best movie for those who do leave their brains behind.
