Wish I could give zero rating here!

Anyway, I have been to Fun Republic just about four times ever. The last time I went was to watch Ice Age 3 and it wasn't a very good experience; since I could manage to catch the movie only in its last week, my boyfriend and I had to make do with the morning show since we didn't have time in the later half. They charged a meager Rs 50 for the tickets; now, we didn't ask them to charge so little. The air con was switched off through out; maybe they thought we didn't deserve cooling because we paid only Rs 50 each. It's not G7, so there are no pankhas either. The 3D glasses were bad and they didn't have any better ones. So, we ended up not enjoying the movie much.

Today my boyfriend and I went for Clash of the Titans at the same cursed theater because it's the closes to boyfi's workplace. The movie began and we realized the screen was a bit too dark. So, boyfi complained to the person concerned and he said the screen would have to be "cleaned" and no one in the projection room was answering the phone. Erm, we thought just adjusting the brightness would do the trick, but never mind what we think. So, we continued squinting eyes behind the 3D glasses, which were mercifully ok this time.

The interval was stretched to about 20 minutes! The movie began again and then during the last 20 minutes, the trouble began. There was a good 5 second delay in the sound and picture. They would mouth the dialogue and the lip synch followed after 5 seconds. It was so annoying. Then, the film started skipping. It was like watching a CD that is suffering from scabies and was scratched big, big time. Then, we were treated to some psychedelic sights. Fuscia, green and blue colors on the screen and finally the sound just went off for the last 10 minutes! Wow, the thrill of watching a silent movie, that too The Clash of the Titans!

And, the staff there didn't even realise what was happening. A guy woke up from his sleep and sauntered in and asked us, "kya ho gaya?" Everyone was like, "Sound chala gaya, dikhta nahi hai kya?" They didn't even stop the movie; we saw it through the titles. The manager came a good 10 minutes later and asked the projector operator to play it from where the sound went off. Everyone sat down patiently to watch it again. It played less than ok for a minute and the same problem happened. The stupid stupid manager said they could rewind it again. So, this one girl goes, "yeah, we have the entire day to watch this one film." This shut the manager up. Then he said, "Would you all like to watch the movie some other day?" Everyone was a step short of giving him a whack. So, grudgingly he agreed to give a refund. We went to the box office swearing never to return.

At the box office, this one guy had crumpled his ticket badly so the person at the counter cribbed, 'ticket toh sambhalke rakho'. This dude says, 'Abey ticket ko kya frame karke rakhun?'. Oh, a word about their caramel popcorn. If you are on a diet and still want to have it, it's best for you because only about one in 5 pieces has caramel. It's almost like eating normal popcorn. Cheats!
