Seriously, give them a miss these days. Many years ago they were make in the UK, the soles were guaranteed and you were assured of a quality product. Move forward a few decades and they are produced in a factory overseas at the cheapest possible price to maximize profits. Soles last about a year before they hole through at which point Dr Martens are uninterested and direct you to Timpsons who charge 60 pounds to resole.
Dr Martens used to be the benchmark for quality leather boots, they are now firmly ensconced among the pack and are no better than many other companies selling a similar product for half the cost.
