We started on an early saturday morning to visit Coorg - the land of beauty and spices. We started a bit unplanned, hence we are not sure which way to move on. Coorg is also called as Mercara, Madikeri etc...

The shortest Route from Bangalore is to go Srirangapatna and take a right diversion from the Bridge next to Sathya Sai Seva Trust which you can find it located beatifully on the banks of River Cauvery. It will take you to the way to Brindavan Gardens and a bird sanctuary, which you can plan to visit while returning back.

If you start from Bangalore, the easiest way follows with Ramanagaram - Chennapatna - Mandya - Srirangapatna (bypassing Mysore) - Hunsur - Titimatti - Gonikoppa - Virajpet - Madikerri. There are others way too but it wont be that much accessible.

We started unplanned and went on with a wrong route, went to Mysore, moved to Khusal nagar instead of Hunsur, where the roads are really pathetic and went to Harangi Dam one of the famous resorvoirs in that area after Khusal nagar. We saw the tibetian Monastery and nisargadhama, a floating Islang (where you have to stay in the night in order to enjoy the beauty of the Evening and the Elephant rides and the boating, a romantic place to enjoy).

Before you reach Coorg the Abhey falls inside a private estate welcomes you to the Coorg, the falls is quite a cute one, which you will definetly enjoy the scenic beauty of the falls as well as a natural massage for your body in the falls. One of the important places one should not miss in the tour.

Once you finish your enjoyment in the waters move on to Coorg, a small hilly civilized area, where you can see the cars and the two wheelers parked on top of the house ;) because of their easy accessibilty to the top. Its really cool to see them lying on the roof gardens. The spice stores selling honey and the natural spices, Hotels, the Bus station etc... We started in a wrong road and went out of the city and came back driving three Kilometre. Such a small city, but a neat one.

At the center of the city lies the FORT Palace where the Govt. Organisations are functioning now. Its a real good view antique museum over there. One of the most important place that one should not miss is the Raja Seat, where you can see the sunset, the glitterning valley and the various belts of the western ghats outstandingly. Its a treat to the eyes. The Scots who found the city and developed, had done a good job in making this place a good one for sight seeing from this seat.

The roads are really good, ZIG ZAG roads thats leading to Talacauvery and Bhagamandala will attract everyone who visits once to this place. The drivers will be definetly enjoying this road for sure. The sharp turns, the driveway inbetween the greens (coffee plantations) is asounding.

The air, the nature and the food and the people will really make one to settle down at this place. pork, the famous food is really tasty. One should not miss that one. Trekking and staying at a Estate house will definetly make one's trip most mesmerising.

The road that you start driving towards titimatti leads your to the RajivGandhi National park, where you can see the Deers and the monkey on the way and its a long stretch where you can raise your speed to the most that you want to achieve.

And the most important thing is that if you are good and wish to enjoy driving in the rain in the hillside, it is the best place you can see. Totally it will be mind blowing and every bit and inch that you move here will definetly make your trip memorable forever and ever.
