Absolutely true.  We stayed at a cottage in Upper Coonoor with our family of 6. though a veg home with no alchahol, it was marvellous stay & we enjoyed the comforts of the home, its garden & surroundings.  The calmness really got us back into our lives. we want to go there again. if anyone wants to stay there, you can call 9444708530. the rate for 2 persons ( rate if for 2 minimum & then on for 1 which is half of it but they give you seperate room ) with breakfast & dinner is Rs.1500 per day.

If you stay there for 6 days, which we did, the owner gave us complimentary 6 x 2 lunches too.   it was a memorable stay.  I strongly recommend this for foreigners & indians who want peace, rest & rejunevate their health.  Stay for minimum 6-7 days is better than 2 days. there is also so much to see around this beautiful place. sims park, dolphin nose, tea garden & factory, good hotels & bars are all walking distance from this british banglow.  there are 2 bed rooms, a ktichen ( the care taker is a wonderful cook ! ) a living room, a sun deck, car park, dining room, 2 bathrooms & a mini garden.

The home has comfortable beds & can accomodate upto 6-8 persons if you visit as a family as they have suffecient cots for this. Ooty is just 1 hour by car or by the Heritage Minit Train & we visited ooty, Bandipur, Massinagudi, Dottabetta & Emerald Lakes.......they were all very nice.  But the highlight of the visit was the home.
