i m not aware of this brand in rest of the world but in india very well.


before its entry colgate was the leader but HLL ( hindustan lever ltd.) marketing guys did a good job by first identifying the right target segment i.e youth and then did good passionable and exiting advertisement and created a good brand positioning in the mind of youth.


This was the first gel tooth paste in india and now the market is very big so salute to the close up fo putting a strong foundation to this category.


although in fmcg market quality of tooth pastes doesn't vary very much so only brand awareness and positioning matters where close up is on the zenith and forced the colgate ( colgate gel )to follow.
