i think this film can be quiet easily compared to drugs in a sense that the movie does gives you high till somepoint but sadly like drugs leaves you aftereffects.this film by priyadarshan like always a southern remake does manages to keep you engrossed till some but it ultimately peters out to a boring expereince.the films storyline is majorly good and is helped by good performance by shahid kapoor paresh rawal and rajpal yadav but film music barring dil vich lagi yahve is a burden on our ears and himesh reshamiya sounds repeatative .fim is quite good but would have been better if last part would have been edited .

the film basically is a story of jeet(shahid) a failed enterprenuer who has put his hands in many pies but has failed and ultimately lost money so in order that he can pay his investors from insurance money his family would get jumps into the sea but as luck would have it he is saved by gundya(paresh rawal) and bandya(rajpal) who mistake him for a rich guy but deaf and muteand look after him but after sometime gundya who is in large debt from chauhan(om puri) sends jeet and bandya to work for chauhan so that he can get his boat back and story ultimately develops into a love story of jeet with shruti(kareena) who also is mute and things lead to marriage but as luck would have he already has a fiancee(sushma reddy) who lives as his widow and what follows is a strangest climax you would ever see.priyadarshan builds a good gujrati setting in the film but looses his way in the end which you would know after you see the movie

jeet-shahid kapoor is excellent as jeet

gundya-paresh rawal as usual is funny

shruti-kareena kapoor has little to do in a small role

meenaxi-neha dhupia is good in a side role

jai-suniel shetty is ok as a possesive elder brother

om puri screams through in his role as chauhan

rajpal yadav gets beaten around and evokes laughter by his antics

sushma reddy is bad as fiancee
