We were a group of 7 who travelled to Egypt. Overall the tour was good but Chariot lacks the finishing toucher and are Pennywise Pound Foolish. There is no local Tour Leader accompanying you throughout the tour and a representative in Cairo was avialable to take care of us. I had even contacted Chariot and also the Representative in Cairo that when we are in Aswan we wanted to Pay and go on a Trip to Abu Simbel which both said there was no time and we cannot make it. But to our surprise in Aswan where we boarded the Nile Curise we were waiting for other tour operator passangers who had gone for the Abu Simbel tour and expected to return by 4 PM. Only after they arrived the Curise left. I really do not know they Mr Koushik & Mr Shanbhag of Chariot did this and also the Egypt tour representative.


Even though the rooms were good they were too samll to fit in Additional beds in few places. Aslo Chariot knew before had that they could not secure booking in the Sleeping Train from Cairo to Aswan, but kept us in dark. We were forced to travel in regular night train sitting in a bad and filthy train. The Local Guide did not even provide us the morning breakfast till 11 AM and only after collective demanding from all passangers it was provided.


In effect the Local Guides try to save some money for themselves on which Chariot does not have any control.


After this I stopped using Chariot and started using a Tour Operator from Bomaby. A local representavie is there throughout the tour from Bomaby to Bombay and he takes care of all the arrangements. Even to our surprise we were refunded some money after the tour stating that one of the Sight Seeing was closed and so the entry fee of the same was refunded to us.


Chariot should try to inculcate this service level and learn form the Bombay tour operator.


In fact Chariot being one to operate from Bangalore should be more trnasparent and try to learn from other tour operators. Including the Seat Numbers in the Bus is as per the Booking order which is known in advance in case of the Bombay Tour Operator.


After compaling from Egypt to Mr Koushik & Mr Shanbhag from Egypt itself they said they will meet us in Bangalore and sort out the same which never happened.


I feell sorry for them since this way they will only get new customers but not repeat customers.


If at all they want to improve they should start with a representative being available form Bangalore to Bangalore and also be transparent whenever any customer want to upgarde and travel in Business Class. In fact they try to make small money here and there and are spoiling their reputation.
