On life in Bangalore city

I am a native of southern India(not Karnataka) living and working in Bangalore for over 4 years. I have had quite some experience dealing with services(government), businesses(real estate, interior designers), local people(autos etc) in this place and this is my experience about the life in this city when compared to other places in India. I had lived in Mumbai also before moving to Bangalore.

In general people(local, businesses and public administration) are greedy and lazy. Easy IT money from large number of young & single, starry eyed, well paid IT professionals, majority of them coming from outside the state and does not want any hassles, has made this place the most corrupt place I have seen in India. In other places if you pay up things happen, but not in Bangalore. One might pay above market rate hoping to get "premium" service, but cannot expect value for money in return. The people running things here have in general a thuggish attitude which intimidates the inexperienced young people who are doing many things(renting/buying an apt, buying a vehicle etc) for the first time in their lives. This makes them(businesses, autos, police, administration, schools, hospitals, you name it)  even more boorish and starts demanding more and more from everyone. The level of service in any area is pathetic. Not just local businesses, but MNC brands(e.g Samsung etc) or Indian brands(e.g Hero Honda) well known for their service elsewhere in the country are no exception.Everyone needs just money but does not want to do work. This does not mean that other places in India is heaven. But at least the consumer does get some respect, especially if you are ready pay that little bit extra. But not in Bangalore.

Only thing that works here is local influence(how much connections you have), how much of a thug you are(if things get physical can you handle that), pure brazenness and how thick your skin is. So if you have a choice(especially if you are from north India) of moving to some other city such as Mumbai or Chennai take it. the weather in those places may not be as good as Bangalore, but a little bit of pleasant climate it is not worth all other troubles.
