                                PARADISE ON HILLS :

Before I write on Shakti Hill Resort,Let me congralute the man who made the dreams a reality, Dr R Arunachalam,Founder Chairman of this resort.

Situated off Mysore Road, just 12 kms from the city railway station and 45 minutes drive from the airport,Lies a paradise on Hill. This place is a combination of Ooty,Coonoor or Kodai.

I strongly recomend my MS Friends to visit this place atlest once. Its a must see.

Shakti Hills  is one resort, which has imbibed traditional values along with the British legacy, encompassing a lot of modern amenities along with ancient Indian system of Ayurveda. The resort is spread over 45 acres with shady trees, coconut groves and tropical flowers. The sunset and sunrise is to be especially experienced through the undisturbed view . See this to belive. The serene atmosphere helps to bring down tensions and recharge one's energy in a clean and eco-friendly environment.

Shakti Hill Resorts have few other interesting features that one would not had dreamt of seeing in Bangalore. There is a 250 ft deep manmade cavefor meditation purposes. You can also find Asia's biggest manmade water falls, 150 ft wide and 57 ft high..

There is also an artificially made mist zone, which gives an impression of being in Ooty. There are around 34 cottages ranging from deluxe rooms to penthouses. The resort stands on the foundation of the concept "Athithi Devo Bhava", meaning "Guest is equal to God", which its imbibed by every service personnel. You find that one is received with open hands and greeted with a smile at every step.

There are five swimming pools designed for men, women and children. There is a beach for children, water being at the level appropriate for children. There is an enclosed pool for women and one can enjoy swimming even on chilly days with a hot pool. There is a paradise pool on top with a sunken bar, made in the Roman style.

Besides the heavenly pools, there are a host of games to compete and have fun - outdoor gameslike badminton, tennis and indoor games like carom, billiards and others. The resort also has five bars and a restaurant serving a range of cuisines from continental to Indian food. For those perfering Indian food there is a restaurant serving just that

An Ayurvedic Health resort is very special here, massages, meditation, sauna, yoga, treatment of various ailments, reiki, etc. The emphasis here is for family oriented outing. In sum and substance it is a perfect getaway.

Another very great vision of  Dr R Arunachalam is "Temple of oneness".This man is constructing Buddha Temple (from 2005) within three months this temple will be complete.Fortunately Dr Arunachalam is my very good friend,guide,Teacher......Very simple man with great thoughts. His son Capt Ramesh is the managing director of the resort.

Shakti Hill Resort  is very  ideal for a day's picnic for children and for families. For more pictures you can see my photo gallery.I once again strongly reccomend my MS Friends to vist this paradise.
