Baghban is the story of children who forget their duties towards their parents when they grow up and become independent. It is the duty of parents to bring up their children in the best possible way. Is it not then the duty of children to take care of their parents when they grow old? Baghban answers this question in the most appropriate manner. It is a family drama directed by Ravi Chopra.

Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini ,Aman Verma, Sameer Soni, Nasir, Sahil, Suman Raganathan, Paresh Rawal, Lillette Dubey, Salman Khan and Mahima Chaudhary.

The story is about the parents of four children who love each other more than their ownselves. Raj Malhotra (Amitabh Bachchan) and Pooja Malhotra (Hema Malini) have four sons. Aman Verma, Sameer Soni, Nasir and Sahil enact the roles of the four sons. They all get married and lead a settled life independently. They come to meet their parents only during festivals or other family get-togethers. Raj Malhotra decides to retire and lead a peaceful life with his wife and children. He discusses this with his sons who internally are against the decision. The sons ridicule their father’s decision and are not ready to take the responsibility of both the parents. They decide to separate the parents. Raj Malhotra lives with the second son (Sameer Soni) whereas Pooja Malhotra lives with the eldest son (Aman Verma) for six months respectively. They are treated like slaves by their children. Raj Malhotra finds a new friend (Paresh Rawal) Paresh Rawal is the owner of a café. Raj Malhotra spends most of the time with his new friend in the café. He becomes a hero in the café. People admire his unconditional and ardent love for his wife. He is prompted by teenagers to pen down his love story. Meanwhile, Pooja is treated badly by her son and daughter in law. Six months pass away and its now time for both the parents to visit the other two sons. Raj and pooja meet each other at a common station which happens to be the place where they celebrated their honey moon. Both decide to spend some time with each other. Here they meet their adopted son, Alok (Salman Khan). Alok is thrilled to see Raj and Pooja. He treats them like god and takes them home. Alok and his wife, Arpita (Mahima Chaudhary) treat them like their own parents and worship them. Will Raj and Pooja go to live with their sons or would they stay together with Alok and Arpita? Will the four sons realize their mistakes? Will Raj and Pooja forgive their sons? To find out the answers watch ‘Baghban’.

The plot of the movie is good. ‘Chali Chali’ and the ‘holi’ song are good. Other songs are average. All the actors and actresses have done a good job. The movie is worth watching once. It is a movie with a social message. The movie makes one cry as well as laugh. It is a complete source of entertainment. I recommend this movie to all.
